CPL & Firearms Training
Frank Rubino is a nationally licensed firearms instructor. He has been teaching civilians, police reserves, police recruits, and police officers since the mid 1990’s. He spent nearly two decades as a police officer and qualified police officers in firearms at three departments, including serving as the instructor for his department’s SWAT team. Frank served as a defensive tactics instructor at police departments across the state of Michigan, as well as at the police academy level. Frank is a licensed Psychologist at the Walter Reuther State Psychiatric Hospital and also has a private practice in the City of Plymouth. His practice focuses on trauma and substance use issues and caters to first responders and combat veterans, among others. He also works as a presenter of Behavioral Health and Emergency Partnerships to police departments and police academies across Michigan. He spent eight years as a professor of Psychology and Justice and Public Policy at Concordia University in Ann Arbor and has 15 years of martial arts experience. In his spare time, Frank is a competitive shooter and currently is the chairman of the Cowboy Fast Draw discipline at the Western Wayne County Conservation Club, located in Plymouth, Michigan.
Frank welcomes all interested individuals to learn more about firearm safety and encourages others to explore training, whether it be for first time handlers, those with a CPL but don’t carry or experienced shooters looking to fine-tune their skills.
