Girls-R-Pearls Pre-Teen & Teenage Safety Workshop
The Girls-R-Pearls Pre-Teen & Teenage Safety Workshop™ is a one day program for young girls. Because pre-teen and teenage years are complex and often difficult for parent and child, this workshop is ideal for opening the communication link on subjects that young girls are facing every day.
This safety workshop enhances the ability of the child and parent to use knowledge, skill and power to protect them from harm, make good decisions and to know and understand their worth. It is also a program that is enriched with strong self-esteem building components. It will help your child become more confident, resilient and help her to set boundaries early in life. The best thing about this workshop is it’s taught in an environment where young girls can speak freely, relate to their peers and have fun while learning valuable life skills that will help them as they grow older. They will leave the workshop with a strong sense of self and will have “Found Their Worth” as they begin to make decisions outside of the security of their parents and guardians.
Topics in the program include:
- Self Image
- Self Esteem
- Dating relationships
- Peers & Fitting In
- Social media and its impact
- Parental Involvement
- Instincts & Conscience
- Making Decisions
- Verbal Self-Defense Skills
- Physical Self-Defense Skills
