Life-long advocate for empowering women
Anne Jackson is a life-long advocate for empowering women and girls. She works in a female dominated profession as a Nurse and Union Representative/Organizer. She advocates for all nurses both male and female. She has had the privilege of being able to bring self-defense training to the Arthritis Foundation Camp for Kids over the last ten years and looks forward to this experience year after year. She is a rape survivor and began training in the martial arts after this experience. While she developed many skill sets in the martial arts, she felt there was more to learn specific to what women encounter in regards to self-defense and personal safety. After discovering the programs at Fighting Spirit, she finally found the educational and tactical pieces that filled in these gaps and has been involved ever since.
